Welcome to the Kidlington and District Historical Society
The Society was founded in 1971 with the object of promoting an interest in the history, architecture and archaeology of Kidlington and the surrounding area and to research, compile and publish local historical records.
With a membership of about 60, the Society meets on the last Tuesday of each month in the Baptist Church, Kidlington High Street at 7.30pm for announcements by the Chairman and the speaker will commence at 7.50pm. The programme of speakers covers a wide range of interests and the quarterly members’ newsletter includes a precis of each of the talks (see ‘Our Programme’ page for details).
Our programme also includes a whole day visit in early summer and a local evening visit in July. Members also enjoy an Annual Dinner with a guest speaker.
New members are welcome: the annual subscription is £20.00. For more information please visit our membership page.
Visitors are welcome at our monthly meetings and need not be accompanied by a member. The charge is £4 on the door (50p if aged 25 or under).
